Peter Cernansky was a former Westhill High School varsity quarterback (class of ’12) who died tragically in an accident during his first week of college this past fall. Peter was passionate about football, a friend to all and a mentor to many of his peers. Peter’s parents in his memory established the PCM Fund in 2013. We are now planning for the 2nd Annual PC 15 Memorial Golf Tournament to be held on June 30th at Rockrimmon Country Club in Stamford CT. Once again, the event includes golf, dinner and silent auction. The proceeds raised from this inaugural outing will go towards funding custom training and academic assistance counseling programs, using Westhill High School football as a prototype,
for future expansion to other varsity sports in the area.
In the first year, proceeds from The Peter Cernansky Memorial Golf Tournament created the following programs:
Tutoring and Academic Counseling- in and out of the student athlete’s sport season
SAT Prep Program for all students in need seeking to improve their SAT test scores
The Football Journey, a student athlete development program
In Development: Intensive transitional program for 8th graders entering High School
Our mission is to continue to contribute to the academic, athletic, and emotional lives of our student athletes. As this program develops, our goal is to expand working with other schools.
Thank you for any support you can provide in helping us promote this cause.
