This month's nominees are...

TOOL

A progressive metal band that is known for their mix of visuals and genre hopping style. Lead by Maynard James Keenan, the band has only released four records since their inception in 1990. Their second album Aenima is considered one of the finest rock releases of the 1990's.

BILLY IDOL

Former punk rocker turned MTV darling in the early 1980's, Idol, hailing from England, was the lead singer of Generation X before going solo and releasing massive pop rock songs throughout the 1980's. Also credited for a great sneer. Still tours today.

BAD COMPANY

British super-group that featured members of Free, Mott the Hoople and King Crimson, their 1970’s output still holds up today with classic rock staples such as Feel Like Makin Love.

DEREK AND THE DOMINOS

Lead by Eric Clapton, this group only released one record, “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs”. The title track has become one of the biggest songs of all time and is considered one of the highlights of the very amazing Clapton career.

PEARL JAM

Hailing from Seattle during the height of the grunge era, Pearl Jam has managed to stay relevant almost 25 years into their career. Massive early 1990's hits has now lead to a cult following that still sells out arenas on a regular basis.
