Car: AMC Javelin SST 390 Cross-Ram Mark Donohue Special
What makes it special: Less than 200 AMC Javelin SST 390 Mark Donohue editions were produced, with only 3 still registered in the USA. It was a very rare Rally Pack with less than 2% of Javelins being equipped with this option. It also came with a Craig Breedieve roof mounted air dam spoiler.
What made it famous: The Mark Donohue package was an option on the Go-Pack SST. It was a very rare Group 19 High Performance Dealer Option. It came with a 325 hp, 390 V8, STR-11 AMC #'s stamped CrossRam intake, 270H Competition cam, Ram-Air, a 140 mph speedometer and 8,000 rpm tachometer, a heavy duty cooling system, Hurst shifted 4-speed manual transmission, and twin-grip rear.
Why I would want one: It's got looks, it's got power, it's a rarity...and it's got my heart. 'Nuff said.
Fun fact: In addition to production in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Javelins were assembled under license in Germany, Mexico, Venezuela, and Australia. They were also sold in other international markets.
