Name: Woodchuck 802
Brewery: Woodchuck Hard Cider
Location: Middlebury, VT
Taste: This cider is pretty refreshing. The taste is apples upfront with a nice and mellow molasses twang to keep the tart in check. It is simple and easy on the palate.
What makes it special: 802 is given its name from the area code where it is made in Vermont. 802 is made with a blend of apples and champagne yeast but caramelized sugar is added just before filtering to impart a deep bronze tone, whereas white sugar is used in the Amber Cider.
