Car: Ford Fairlane Ranchero XL/GT
What makes it special: The 1967 model was based on the post-'66 Falcon/Fairlane chassis and used the basic 1966 Ranchero body with Fairlane trim, front sheet metal, and interior treatments instead of Falcon. It was marketed as the Fairlane Ranchero. It a popular one-year vehicle with clean, straight lines, dual stacked headlamps, and plenty of power.
What made it famous: Ford's Fairlane Ranchero gained muscle car status in 1967 with an optional 315 bhp, 390 cu in FE series big-block V8, backed by an optional C6 automatic transmission. 1967 also saw the largest available trim levels, from the base model to the new Ranchero 500, 500/XL and GT.
Why I would want one: My first car was a 1966 Ford Fairlane 2-door Hardtop model, I've always been a fan of the Ranchero and GT options, so to put all of that into one car would be an absolute no-brainer.
Fun fact: One of Elvis Presley's most prized vehicles was a 1967 Ford Fairlane Ranchero, and he used it quite often. ( Uhh...thank you. Thank you very much ! )
