0 0

Friend of the show Captain Tom G with the Stamford Fire Department called in to invite The Tribe to their fundraisers:

The first, a “fill the boot” fundraiser will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2017, from 830-1130 AM, at two major intersections in Stamford. (Shippan Avenue and Magee Avenue and Cold Spring Road and Long Ridge Road, Stamford)

Stamford professional firefighters will be stationed at the Bulls Head intersection and at the intersection of Shippan Avenue and Magee avenue collecting money from Stamford residents and motorists to donate to hurricane relief charities.

Brendan Keatley, President of the Stamford Professional Fire Fighters Association, said, “all of us were deeply affected by recent natural disasters. This fundraiser will offer members of the Stamford Fire Department an opportunity to work together with the Stamford community to raise money for natural disaster victims. We are all honored to raise money for Stamford based charity Americares, the Salvation Army and the IAFF Fire Fighter Disaster Relief Fund.”

The “fill the boot” will be followed from 1230PM to 430 PM by a second fundraising event at the Sign of the Whale restaurant and bar in Stamford, located at 6 Harbor Point Road in Stamford, featuring a DJ, food and drink specials, and a raffle, with proceeds donated to Americares, the Salvation Army and the IAFF Fire Fighter Disaster Relief Fund.”
