In a career that has spanned for decades, the Massachusetts based Rock band has recorded hit singles in the 70s including "(Ain't Nothin' But A) House Party" (1973) and "Must Of Got Lost" (1974) and in the 80s, first with "Love Stinks" (1980), then with the successful Freeze Frame album which included "Centerfold" (1981) and the title cut. In addition to reaching #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S., "Centerfold" also reached #1 on the Rock Tracks chart for three weeks and topped the ARIA chart in Australia. The song lists at #52 on Billboard's "All-Time Top Songs" and was an early staple on MTV.
