Meat Loaf's new Legacy/Sony Music album, Hell In A Handbasket, is his 11th studio recording in a career that includes his 1977 classic Bat Out Of Hell, which has sold more than 15 million copies in the U.S. and 43 million worldwide, one of the Top 5 sellers of all time. Backed by his longtime band The Neverland Express and produced and engineered by band member and guitarist Paul Crook, Hell In A Handbasket is Meat Loaf's most autobiographical album to date, a thematic record that easily crosses any number of genres, featuring such unlikely contributors as rappers Chuck D and Lil Jon, Country star Trace Adkins and Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath. It's an album about feeling alone and disconnected from the world around you, at the same time as it tries to tap into what unifies us as fellow humans on this topsy-turvy planet in 2012. Meat Loaf gets inside the emotions of all these songs with his signature intensity and the powerful support of his group, which includes, along with Crook, John Miceli (drums, percussion), Patti Russo (lead and backing vocals), Randy Flowers (guitars, vocals), David Luther (saxophone, vocals) Justin Avery (piano, organ, keyboard, vocals) and Danny Miranda (electric and upright bass).
