An Emergency Medical Technician- Basic (EMT-B) is an EMT who has training in basic emergency care skills, including automated external defibrillation, use of a definitive airway adjunct, and assisting patients with certain medications. Echo Hose Ambulance Corps offers this EMT-B course. It provides you with that training and also allows you to be eligible to take the State of Connecticut EMT-B practical and written exam (upon successful completion).
