Employee Anti-Fraud Measures: More Important Today Than Ever You are invited to join us at our next dinner meeting Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 6pmRed Barn Restaurant, 292 Wilton Road, Westport, CT Guest Speaker:  Stephen Pedneault, Principal of Forensic Accounting Services LLC, Glastonbury, CT The firm specializes only in forensic accounting, fraud, and litigation support matters. Steve has been in the field for 24 years and has authored 4 books, and numerous articles on fraud prevention, embezzlement, fraud, and forensic accounting. He has also spoken over 200 times locally and nationally, and works as an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut in the Master of Science Accounting program. Based on his 24 years of practice in forensic accounting and fraud examination, Steve affirms that there are more cases of employee fraud, theft and embezzlement occurring today than experienced in the past. Victims include municipalities, not-for-profits, small businesses, large businesses, medical practices, social clubs and virtually every other type of formal and informal organization that exists throughout Connecticut. Only a fraction of the cases hit the media. How secure is your financial environment?  It may no longer be a matter of "if it happens", but rather "when it happens."  This session will overview recent trends and cases recently investigated right here in Connecticut, and also discuss how your risk of being victimized can be reduced.  Attendee 40.00
