Joint SEC/ICRI Seminar and Dinner Meeting Design and Use of Externally Bonded Fiber Reinforced Polymers (FRP) for Structural Strengthening    Join us for a joint dinner meeting with the Connecticut Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI) in North Haven at the Holiday Inn.  Externally bonded FRP has been successfully used to strengthen, repair and restore structural members in bridges, buildings, and various other applications for more than twenty years.  Acceptance and use of FRP-based solutions have experienced exponential growth globally, however a large portion of the civil and structural communities in North America remains unfamiliar with the physical and mechanical properties of FRP.  Topics to be presented are:  FRP material overview, common construction methods, design procedures with emphasis on ACI 440.2R-08, fire resistance and case studies.      Presented by: Sean Wisotzkey, Project Engineer – Buildings Division, Fyfe Co., LLC, San Diego, California   Sean joined Fyfe Co. in 2010 and he specializes in FRP design, detailing, technical support as well as research and development.  His background includes work as a technician in an FRP laboratory where he acquired hands-on experience with the material.  Sean earned a Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering with a focus on civil structures from the University of California at San Diego.  Attendance to this seminar is worth 1.0 New York PDH Credit SEC Member - Buffet 40.00 SEC Member - Vegetarian Dinner 40.00 Non-Member - Buffet 45.00 Non-Member - Vegetarian Dinner 45.00
