Spring Awakening
Spring Awakening, with a book and lyrics by Steven Sater and music by Duncan Sheik, is a rock musical adaptation of the controversial 1892 German play by Frank Wedekind. Set in late-19th century Germany, it concerns teenagers experiencing the tumult of their own sexuality. Their unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood is powerfully conveyed through Victorian text and contemporary music.
