A precious pollinator of fruit sand vegetables, the disappearing bees left billions of dollars of crops at risk and threatened our food supply. Join researchers as they follow the trail of clues from the United States to southern France, from the hills of Spain to England and all the way to Australia and China, as they scramble to discover why honeybees were dying in record numbers, and to stop the epidemic in its tracks. Al Avitabile, Emeritus Professor at the Biology Department of UCONN and co-author if The Beekeepers Handbook will be available for a book signing and to lead a discussion following the film. $5
