Roses for Autism (RFA) (http://www.rosesforautism.com) and UConn - UCEDD will co-sponsor a free open house and holiday gathering to celebrate the season and its new Career Training Program (CTP) after-hours option. The event is open to families of former, current, and prospective participants (i.e. autistic students of transition as well as younger adults with ASDs). Parents will learn what the CTP's extended day program is all about and discuss strategies for supporting family members with autism over the holidays. The mission of Roses for Autism is to grow independence in the business world through a replicable autism training and employment program integrated into a successful, sustainable rose business that will serve as a flagship for this program.
