Don’t worry if you’ve never written a program before, this is an introductory course that’s geared toward students with no prior programming experience. You’ll start with the basics, drawing points, lines and shapes on the screen. As you progress you’ll be creating an interactive creature of your own design that you’ll bring to life. Finally, on the last day of the course you’ll have the opportunity to share your creation with the class. Students will also be given a CD with their completed work to take home. The instructor for this class will be Robert Lysik. The Processing programming language was developed at the MIT Media Lab by Ben Fry and Casey Reas as a tool for creating visual art.
