Steve and Jon have shared The Stage with a ton of famous people but who the heck cares. Mighty Purple almost got signed several times by major labels but all of the A&R people were foolies …and not good people. Steve and Jon are glad not to have their lives tangled up with a bunch of coke addicted crooks. Mighty Purple had a few other people in the band…. a couple who stayed 5+ years …but then they didn’t. Their names were Adrian , Dave, Will, Tommy and Geoff. If you are that interested…. down load some random old Mighty Purple song from I Tunes or something. There were allot of people who helped out along the way..Mighty Purple only existed for so long because of some truly amazing people that helped write the story. Steffans and DHK majorly fueled the cause …and for that …many wives in heaven.There is also a Mighty Purple hall of shame ….that includes some guy in new york that looked exactly like a penguin and a band that sounded suspiciously like Sting meets reggae. Their singer was just a rotten ass dude. There were a few other major slime balls who shall remain nameless…Mighty Purple had a couple of RVs …they were fun but sucked their $ dry. Once Steve and Jon moved 13 people …into an abandoned warehouse and made it home for a year…it was the beginning of the end.Jon Spends allot of time composing music these days, as well as playing music with several other artists. Jon has a pretty awesome loft in an up and coming arts district in New HavenSteve owns an all ages music venue in CT called The Space where hundreds of National, Regional and Local bands play. Someday Steve plans to write a book about his years on the road.
