So you landed the job (or are about to), now what? It is not enough to just finish your academic responsibilities and graduate. This series of programs starting in February helps graduating seniors know what to expect, and what to understand, before their first day on the job. Sessions range in topics from "The First 90 Days on the Job" to understanding benefits and the jargon that comes along with them to learning how to communicate effectively with various people to creating a budget for your life. By the end of this series, seniors will have all the tools they need to be successful after Trinity. February 5, 4:30pm – “The First 90 Days” Research shows that the first 90 days on the job are critical to your success. This program will explore how to:· Build a relationship with your boss and colleagues· Manage expectations set by your leadership· Set goals for yourself· Understand your company culture and how to fit in without losing yourself Karen S. Hinds is a consultant, author of 4 books and CEO of Workplace Success Group LLC, which is a training and development firm that partners with organizations to help to develop, engage and retain global emerging talent. She is the creator of the employee development system, The Power of Distinction:™ Master Strategies to Stand Out and Move Up.Karen won the Micro to Millions business award in 2008. She is also an Associate faculty member at Post University. Her company has worked with organizations such as Travelers, FritoLay, Harvard Business School Executive Education Program, The Bank of New York Mellon, Colleges of the Fenway and University of Connecticut.
