If you are not familiar and are asking "What is Yin Yoga?" Yin Yoga is a very quiet, reflective and meditative practice that stretches the tissues, ligaments, joints and bones of the pelvis, hips and spine. Poses are held for 3 to 5 minutes. This is not Gentle Yoga and you will feel sensation, holding poses for extended time. You will have an opportunity to reflect inward.
If you deal with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, drug abuse, you will find this practice healing. A great complement to a regular moving (Yang) yoga practice. Yin Yoga is key to keeping your tissues healthy. Any sport or exercise you do now will be that much better because of Yin! See for yourself and experience the benefits of this very POWERFUL practice!
