Rosemary will explain why editing is an essential part of the creative process. She will review the editorial process, and define how to approach challenges. No individual's work will be evaluated, however each participant will have an opportunity to discuss their work. AN EXPERIENCED BOOK EDITOR who has worked with more than two hundred authors over the course of her career, Rosemary Ahern plays a key role in the creative process of each of her clients. Her editorial acumen and deep sensitivity to the aims, voices, and visions of writers bring clarity and focus to the challenge of moving a draft from “promising” to “outstanding.” She has brought her expertise to novels, memoirs, works of popular history, investigative journalism, women’s studies, environmental studies, and spirituality, among other subjects. As a former publishing executive, Rosemary Ahern can help her clients assess and improve the commercial prospects of their works, but what truly inspires her is guiding authors to the best possible expression of their ideas and talents. Tickets are $50.00
