Lyman Orchards to Host Third Annual “World’s Largest Golf Outing” on Monday, August 12 to support Wounded Warrior Project the simultaneous golf outing at more than 110 BCG-managed courses in 28 states is open to golfers of all abilities and does not require a USGA handicap.
Connecticut golfers of all ages and levels are invited to participate in the outing. In addition, golfer’s friends and families can lend their support by sponsoring a golfer to support the Wounded Warrior Project.
Golfers check-in is at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on the Player and Jones courses. The cost to participate is $60 and includes a $5 donation to WWP, breakfast, round of golf, cart rental, range balls, lunch, on-course contests and prizes. There’s also a $15 optional barbeque after the outing.
In addition to further support the event, Lyman Orchards will donate $1 to the Wounded Warrior Project for every Red, White and Blue Pie sold in the Apple Barrel market between July 1st and August 12th. The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project® is to honor and empower Wounded Warriors. Their purpose is to raise awareness and to enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and service to meet their needs.
