  • The Bilderberg meeting begins today and it might change our future. What is the Bilderberg Group?

Conspiracy folks believe the Bilderberg Group is in league with the Illuminati, Freemasons and the Ancient Aliens, conjuring the elements for the New World Order. Some say they have a plan to eliminate two-thirds of the world population. Who are they?

The Bilderberg Meeting is an annual gathering of world leaders, and multi-national executives, established in 1954 and named for the Dutch hotel where the secret group first gathered.

130 people—including three prime ministers and at least 30 CEOs will hold talks on the world’s most pressing issues. The four-day retreat starts on today (June 9) somewhere in Dresden, Germany.

I'm sure the agenda will be all the predictable topics like “China,” “migration,” and “cyber security.” But one item on the agenda is listed as "addressing the precariat and middle class.”

WHAT IS THE PRECARIAT? The “precariat” is a term popularized by British economist Guy Standing. It is a growing class of people who feel insecure in their jobs, communities, and life in general.

They are (in the words of the Belderberg Group) …the perpetual part-timers, the minimum-wagers, the temporary foreign workers, the grey-market domestics paid in cash… the techno-impoverished whose piecemeal work has no office and no end, the seniors who struggle with dwindling benefits, the indigenous people who are kept outside, the single mothers without support, the cash laborers who have no savings, the generation for whom a pension and a retirement is neither available nor desired.

This group of alienated, anxious, and angry people are thought to be fueling the rise of populist politicians like Donald Trump in the US and around the world.

So what will the Overlords do about it? They will more than likely begin to give us a break for the first time since the mid 70s since 1. they need us making money for them make more money and 2. we are just one recession away from torches and pitchforks. Their very survival could depend on making sure the system begins to work for us as well.
