Car: Buick GSX 455 Stage 2
What makes it special: The Stage 2 option that was originally a checklist item in 1968 was available in 1970. Checking that option box got you a boatload of performance goods in your Buick GS.
What made it famous: The 455 Stage 2 featured Mickey Thompson headers, an 850 cfm Holley Carburetor, 12.5:1 compression ratio forged pistons, a high performance cam, high-flow heads and a 4.78 geared rear end that reportedly were all dealer installed.
Why I would want one: These are among the rarest of the rare. It's rumored that only one to possibly three were ever known to exist.
Fun fact: The 1970 Buick GSX Stage 2 has been called Buick's most daring adventure into high performance.
