September 11th Memorial

Connecticut's governor and lieutenant governor will hold a memorial service on Thursday to honor people
from the state who lost their lives in the Sept. 11 attacks.
A sculpture made in part from aluminum cladding from the World Trade Center will be unveiled at the ceremony at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport.
The names of 152 people with ties to Connecticut who died in the attacks nearly 10 years ago are already engraved on granite tiles at the memorial site, which includes a view of the Manhattan skyline.
The office of Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced details of the ceremony on Tuesday.
The names of the victims will be read aloud at the service which
is to begin at 5:30 Thursday afternoon.
