Metro North

Hurricane Irene Service Update for Tuesday, August 30: Metro-North Resumes Regular Weekday Service on the Harlem Line (to and from Southeast), the Hudson Line and New Haven Main Line; Busing in Effect on the Upper Harlem (Southeast to Wassaic). Service Suspensions Remain in Effect on the New Haven Branch Lines.

Metro-North resumes regular weekday service on the Harlem Line (to and from Southeast), Hudson Line and New Haven Main Line.

Busing will be in effect between Wassaic and Southeast Stations; buses will follow the train schedule.

New Canaan, Danbury and Waterbury Branch Line Services remain suspended. Metro-North crews continue to work around-the-clock to clear the tracks, repair signal systems and restore power despite trees that are continuing to fall. Following all repair efforts, patrol trains have to operate to ensure the safety of the tracks before resuming service.
