2009: Former Procol Harum organist Matthew Fisher won the rights to future royalties for “A Whiter Shade of Pale”. Fisher claimed he wrote the organ melody for the song & wasn’t initially credited as a writer

2007: Shortly after Jimmy Page testified, Robert Langley pleaded guilty to trademark & copyright infringements after having more than $22,000 worth of bootleg Led Zeppelin cd’s & dvd’s seized at a record convention in Glasgow in 2005.

2006: During a Guns N’ Roses concert at London’s Wembley Arena, Axl Rose was unable to finish the concert due to low blood pressure. Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach sang the final two songs in their set.

2003: Approximately 450,000 attended the Molson Canadian Rocks for Toronto benefit concert which was held at Downsview Park. Headliners included The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, Rush, & The Guess Who.

1994: Aerosmith peaked at number seventeen on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with “Crazy” which was their seventeenth top 40 hit. The music video for the song featured Steven Tyler’s daughter Liv.

1994: The Rolling Stones entered the Billboard 200 Album Chart at number two with Voodoo Lounge which was their first studio album without bassist Bill Wyman.

1991: Police officer James Seymour tore up a traffic ticket given to the limousine Axl Rose was traveling in after the limo made a wrong turn. Rose threatened to cancel that night’s Guns N’ Roses concert at the Great Western Forum in Los Angeles if the ticket was issued. 

1983: Journey headlined the Day on the Green festival for the third and final time at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland on a bill that also included Triumph, Eddie Money & Bryan Adams.

1977: Peter Frampton peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart for three weeks with “I’m in You” which went on to be Frampton’s highest charting single in the U.S.
