TOP 10 LIST:

It's been a long, strange 20 years for the Cartoon Network. The network is celebrating itself all month with on-air tributes, starting with a video released Monday that features more than 100 characters that have appeared on the channel coming together in a rave-like dance party. When the network launched on Oct. 1, 1992, it aired around-the-clock cartoons including those from the Hanna-Barbera library - which includes "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons" - at a time when ratings for morning cartoons were dropping and "The Simpsons" was making its mark in prime time.
Many thought Ted Turner's idea to start the network was "crazy," said Robert Sorcher, who worked there for its first five years. He said critics didn't understand Turner Broadcasting Systems' $320 million purchase of the Hanna-Barbera library or earlier acquisition of the MGM film library, which includes "Tom & Jerry." "It was not clear to everyone how this was going to be a successful network," said Sorcher, now the network's chief content officer.

2) The Simpsons - These are classic cartoons, presenting the “YELLOW” people from 1989 up till today. This is influence of adult oriented cartoons that displays the life of Americans.
3) King of the Hill - This one has the humor in a more realistic manner; it was aired in 1997 to 2010.
4) Tom and Jerry - This hilarious cartoon with the love and war of both Tom and Jerry is totally amazing. The chases and the fun they do together is unforgettable. You watch the same cartoon over an over again and you are never bored.

6) SpongeBob Square Pants - SpongeBob and his friends from the underwater city called “Bikini Bottom”. This is one of the nickelodeon’s highest rated cartoons.
7) South Park - aired in 1997 and is running still on the TV, this series was basically made for mature people. It is famous for its dark humor on a wide range of topics.
8) Futurama - This is an American Sci-Fi cartoon and is created by the same person who created Simpsons. This is present in the Guinness World Record book as the highest critically Acclaimed Animated Series.
9) Family Guy - This Seth MacFarlane creation pushes the envelope on what they get away with on a prime time cartoon series. Almost anything is up for poking fun.
