This Day in Music History...

1965: The Rolling Stones perform "Get Off of My Cloud" on Hullabaloo.

1969: The Star Club in Hamburg, Germany, where The Beatles played, announces it will close its doors.

1999: A big day in Led Zeppelin land, as Recording Industry Association of America plaques are awarded to Led Zeppelin Four (sales of 22 million copies), Led Zeppelin Two (12 million), Houses of the Holy (11 million), The Complete Studio Recordings (double-platinum) and the Led Zeppelin box (seven times platinum).

2004: Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" tops a Rolling Stone magazine list of the "Greatest Songs of All Time."

2005: A 30th anniversary edition of Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run is released.
