This Day in Music History...

1965:  The Rolling Stones' "Get Off My Cloud" is released in the UK.  In just two weeks, it goes to #1 on the pop chart.

1969:  Led Zeppelin 2 is released in the United States.

1974:  KISS's Hotter Than Hell album is released.

1982:  Van Halen Day is declared in Worchester, Massachusetts.

1990:  Pearl Jam play their first show ever at the Off-Ramp in Seattle.

1994:  Neil Young, Jackson Browne, Bruce Cockburn and other perform for charity at the fifth annual Verde Valley Music Festival in Sedona, Arizona.

2002:  Santan releases the follow-up to Supernatural, Shaman.

2002:  Foo Fighters' fourth album, One by One, hits stores.
