This Day in Music History...

1967: The Beatles begin filming Magical Mystery Tour. They board a customized bus in London and leave for the English countryside to shoot segments for the film that debuts on British TV December 26th.

1968: The Beatles record "Birthday," which becomes one of the most popular songs on The White Album.  They also lay down 34 takes on "Glass Onion."

1979: With Kenney Jones on the drums The Who play their first U.S. concert since the death of Keith Moon, at the Capital Theater in Passaic, New Jersey.

2001: Nickelback release Silver Side Up. Powered by the single "How You Remind Me," the album debuts at #2 in Billboard.  Bob Dylan's 43rd album, Love & Theft, also comes out on this infamous day.

2002: Singer Chris Cornell and Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello,, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk announce their new band is back on track and will be called Audioslave.
