The 100th Durham Fair

The 100th Durham Fair

The Durham Fair is back for its 100th annual event! Come out for some great fun starting Thursday, September 26th and running through Sunday September 29th. Frontline entertainers include The Little River Band on Friday and a USO Troope on Sunday to celebrate Military Appreciation day.

It’s easy to see why the Durham Fair was featured again in the Best of Connecticut magazine when each year adds something new. This year the fair will celebrate a new agricultural achievement by hosting a delicious Craft Beer and Hard Cider Tasting from breweries right here in Connecticut.

Traditions run deep in this community and the Durham Fair continues to be one of the largest 100% volunteer run fair in North America, owned and operated by the Durham Agricultural Fair Association, Inc. and is a private, not-for-profit corporation. Each year, hundreds of people participate in exhibiting everything from livestock to crafts, baking to needlework, photography to plant science, hoping their entry is the biggest, most beautiful, or best in class to clinch a blue ribbon in their category.

If the exhibits and animal tents don’t keep your there, the motorized events including the Demolition Derby and Monster Truck Rally, Midway rides for all ages and fine fair food are all fairgoer fan favorites, too. Plus, with the Kids Place and the Discovery Center, there are fun attractions for the whole family to enjoy. So start counting down the days and be sure to come down to this years Durham Fair.

Be sure to visit the 99.1 PLR Booth all 4 days inside the Indoor Commercial Building!
