Loser of the Week

  • comment(9)

By AJ

Friday, May 17th:

President Barack Hussein Obama:

For various reasons, the IRS scandal and the handling of the Benghazi debacle, etc...

Friday, May 3rd:

AJ:

Because apparently "Knuckle-dragging mouth breathers" had phone privaledges today...Mother of bomb suspects, no...3 college friends that removed evidence, no...Minneapolis radio host that said he would tell Newtown parents to go to hell, no... Nope, apparently AJ is truly the loser. Like I said, knuckle-dragging mouth breathers.

Friday, April 26th:

Bob Davis (of Davis & Emmer - KTCN/Minneapolis):

Said that is he were in front of Newtown parents he would tell them to "go to hell" because they are interfering with his liberties.

Friday, April 19th:

The Boston Marathon Bombers:

Even though only one remains alive (for the time being, at least...). The two brothers that exploded two bombs during the finishing hours of the Boston Marathon on Monday, killing three, and wounding many others.

Friday, April 12th:

Governor Dan Malloy:

For signing the gun bill...again.

Friday, April 5th:

Governor Dan Malloy:

For signing the gun bill

Friday, March 29th:

North Korea Loader Kim Jong Un:

For his threats of war escalating with South Korea, and disconnecting the "Hotline" between countries. He also is making threats against the U.S.

Friday, March 15th:

Chaz:

For eating meat filled lasagne and sausage & peppers in the studio, (on a Friday during Lent- when you're not supposed to eat meat), and teasing AJ, our guest comedian Brett Ernst, Phil and John the Limo Driver about it (all of which are not having any meat for that reason).

Friday, March 8th:

Jeff from Westport:

alled in and nominated Chaz for being a crybaby and whining about his divorce on the show almost a year ago. The listeners didn't feel that was called for, so they voted for Jeff to have Chaz' back.
Friday, March 1st:

Debra Denison:

Allegedly murdered her two infant grandsons and then killed herself after picking the boys up from their daycare. She was supposed to bring them to a birthday party for one of the boys. They were all found in the grandmother's van after an Amber Alert search.

Friday, February 22nd:

Amanda Bowden:

The 19-year-old woman allegedly threatened to commit a Newtown-style mass shooting at Gateway Community College in New Haven.

Friday, February 8th:

CT. Governor Dan Malloy:

For his budget proposal of eliminating the car tax. City mayors are freaking out due to future lost revenue and residents fear that they'll get higher taxes in some other respect to make up for the lost revenue in their cities.

Friday, February 1st:
A guy who called into the show on Tuesday after a Newtown mother called us on the air to ask we please do not play Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" for a while. Her 8-year-old son is a Sandy Hook student and is still struggling with coping with the tragedy. This guy said that the mother needs to get over it, that there will be a lot of things that will remind us of the tragedy. (He later called the Bitch & Moan phone and "sort of" apologized.)
Friday, January 25th:

Manti Te'o:

For confusing the entire world with his fake girlfriend story, and after all this time...we still have no idea what the truth really is. And for the headaches we now all have from the confusion.

Friday, January 18th:

“Truthers" Conspiracy Theorists:

Who are saying that the Sandy Hook School shootings in Newtown never happened, and are also harassing a Sandy Hook resident who took children into his home.

Friday, November 30th:

CT. State Trooper Aaron Huntsman

:

For allegedly stealing from a fatal accident victim. Allegedly, jewelry and several items were reported missing from the accident victim by the victim's family. He is currently under suspension as the investigation goes on.

Friday, November 16th:

Governor Malloy:

The state deficit is astronomical, and although he says he will balance the budget, The Tribe is not giving it a vote of confidence. Also, some feel the proposed busway project is a bad idea, even though the Governor stated that it's going to be built with federal, not state money.

Friday, November 9th:

FEMA:

They closed their disaster relief offices early due to the upcoming nor'easter this week. Isn't that when they are supposed to be helping the most?

Friday, November 2nd:

BOB FROM SEYMOUR:

During the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, he complained that he had no power and said that the power company needs to get over to Seymour and get the power back. When we said that the people on the shoreline were hit badly and he should be thankful that he still has a home, he said that it was their perogative to move there, and should accept what happens when you live along the shore.

Friday, October 26th:

Our own Megan Doll:

She had floor seats for last night's Bruce Springsteen Hartford XL Center concert, but gave the tickets away to attend "Spirit Night" at her kid's school (which ended with enough time for her to attend the concert afterwards). The concert wound up being one of the greatest shwos he's ever done (as reported by Bruce fans that have seen him perform 30-50 times). And "Spirit Night" wound up being hot and boring...ohhhhh, Megan!!

Friday, October 19th:

Seattle Bus Driver:

A bus driver in Seattle kicked a 4 month pregnant woman and her toddler off the Mass Transit Bus after the toddler "dropped the big one" in its diaper.  (The mother was taking the kid to the doctoer because it had a stomach bug).  The driver complained that the diaper stunk out the bus, so he kicked them off.  "No tidy didy...no ride-y..."

Friday, October 12th:

Chaz:

For not letting people finish what they are saying during interviews, and interupting.  Some other reasons too...but I was too busy laughing and thanking god it wasn't me winning this week.

Friday, October 5th:

Chaz:

For making fun of singer Adele's weight, for being a Dallas Cowboys fan and for being friends with AJ when supposedly he can do better.

Friday, September 28th:

AJ:

Because the actual act of having to think about someone more worthy was obviously too strenuous for the Tribe this Friday.  Took the easy way out.

Friday, September 21st:

Skip from Stratford:

Took issue with a woman that nominated a woman who allegedly was beating her pregnant 18 year old daughter in the back seat of a car (she allegedly witnessed it happen.)  Skip nominated her for Loser of the Week, saying that people should just mind their own business and not intervene or call authorities when something like this happens.

Friday, September 14th:

NBC / TODAY SHOW:

For broadcasting a live interview with Kris Jenner fo the Kardashian family over the "Moment of Silence Ceremony" on the 11th Anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.  Not only that but showing the ceremony on a smaller screen during the interview, letting Kris babble on about her breast implants surgery.

Friday, August 31st:

 AJ:

For leaving Skynyrd before Freebird, not attending Ed's wedding, for allegedly having "manboobs" and for just sucking in general.

Friday, August 17th:

Libery Mutual Insurance Company:

Allegedly denied a CT woman who lost her husband in a tragic accident caused by a drunk driver, and was at the side of her critically injured son (who was in the accident and had to get 10 operations) disability coverage. When her doctor appealed and said that they needed to reconsider their decision, they said she seemed nourished, well groomed and didn't appear to be depressed enough. And refused her coverage for good.

Friday, August 10th:

 AJ:

For not having car registered yet when the AJ Car Show is this Sunday at Branhaven Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. No faith from anyone that I will have everything in order today.

Friday, July 27th:

Matt Scott:

For various offenses according to the Tribe. Just their way of saying they love him...or love to hate him. Either way, he won! Congrats!

Friday, July 20th:

Colorado Gunman:

The Colorado gunman that allegedly opened fire on an audience watching the midnight opening of "The Dark Knight Rises", killing 14 people.

Friday, July 13th:

Belfast, Ireland Officials:

Belfast, Ireland Officials that put down a dog because it was illegal to own in the city, depsite the fact the dog never harmed anyone. And despite the face the Prime Minister said not to, and there were those in the United States willing to pick up the dog and keep it there, at their own cost.

Friday, June 22ND:
The verbally abusive children in viral video that made 68 year old bus monitor Karen Klein cry. They said nasty things like she was so ugly her family commited suicide. (As it turned out, she had a son that did commit suicide in the past.)
Friday, June 15th:

Former PENN State College Assistant Coach Mike McQueary:

For not intervening when he heard/saw Jerry Sandusky's alleged abuse of children in the locker room. And telling his superiors, but not the police.

Alledgedly left his 8 month old infant son in a sweltering hot car for 7 hours in the parking garage of Mohegan Sun while he gambled. He has been charged with leaving a child unsupervised, and risk of injury to a child.

Friday, May 25th:

Boyfriend of NJ woman that stupidly put a toddler in laundromat washing machine (captured on surveillance video, and went viral on Youtube)

The machine locked and began to fill with water, as he and the woman watching the toddler for it's mother tried to open the machine in a fit of panic. Luckily, a maintenance man heard the commotion and pulled the power cord before the toddler drowned. The child ended up with some minor bruises.  The toddler's mother stated she allegedly intends to sue and persue charges against the woman.

Friday, May 18th:

AJ:

For not only being nice to everyone's precious little snowflakes that called in to nominate their daddy's to run in our Chaz & AJ Daddy Drag Race for One Direction tickets. Like I'm to be blamed for parents that put their kids in the line of fire, knowing that I was going to be harsh, to make the kid's earn the right to have their dad in the race, as we mentioned in countless promos on the air, and said specifially on the air numerous times. Nope...let's just completely ignore that little fact, and put the blame on someone else...no responsibility for our own actions and inability to listen to contest rules carefully.

Friday, May 11th:

21 year old Alex Wullaert of Branford

For allegedly strangling his pitbull/boxer mix after he claimed it bit him and urinated on him. He allegedly then placed the dog's body in a bag and dumped it in the woods. A chip in the dog traced it to Alex.

Friday, May 4th:

Patricia Krentcil

A NJ mother who was accused of bringing her 6 year old daughter into a tanning booth, causing burns to her body. She denies the charges, and is so ridiculously overexposed tot the tanning that she resembles a piece of meat that was roasted over a pit...like a pig.  (She kind of has that "glazed look", like the takeout ribs you get from a Chinese restaurant. Wow...nasty!)

Friday, April 27th:

 CT. Legislators

For wanting an increase in minimum wage because residents can't make enough...after ushering the largest across the board tax increase in history.

Friday, April 20th:

 The Connecticut State Legislators

For the longevity bonuses for state workers, for taxes, for not making problems in the state their priority, for repealing the death penalty votes, etc, etc. Folks are getting fed up!

Friday, April 13th

Michael Brown of Torrington, CT

Allegedly beat his girlfriend's 18 month old baby boy, resulting in the little boy being blind and permanently disabled. He has been charged with first degree assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Friday, April 6th

“Producer Ed”, Show producer for Chaz & AJ in the Morning:

Never put out any eggs for AJ to find in his first Easter egg hunt. (AJ has issues, but that's neither here nor there.)  AJ spent a while in the woods by the radio station looking and Ed never let him in on the gag. So, AJ has never found any eggs...still...at the age of 49. For shame, Producer Ed!

Friday, March 30th

President Obama

For "dividing our country", for the economy, etc, etc. Folks just aren't happy with how things are getting done.

Friday, March 23rd

 ( ** Filed under protest **) AJ

Friday, February 24th

"Bee-Man" (A Chaz & AJ frequent caller)

For complaining about having to drive in the small amount of snowfall to go to work as a teacher...didn't like the fact that there was a "delay" instead of a snowday for his school district today. The other members of the Chaz & AJ tribe retatilated, saying he lives in New England, it's winter...so suck it up, Buttercup!

Friday, February 17th:

Peter Kantorowki of Trumbull

Served his 98 year old mother with eviction papers on her 98th birthday. House allegedly was signed over to him at some point with the stipulation that she be allowed to live there for the rest of her years. According to news stories, son feels she would be better off in a nursing home. According to another brother, Jack, mom has full faculties, is self sufficient, and this is all allegedly being done out of greed.

Friday, February 10th:

Amy:

A Chaz & AJ listener that claimed that AJ "had his head up his ass" when he reported the possibility of 3 to 6 inches of snow in the WFSB forecast. Amy claimed she listened to other stations, and no one was reporting that. Listeners called in to confirm that not only was WFSB reporting that, but so was News 8 as well as NBC CT. Enjoy that slice of humble pie Amy...Buh Bye!

Friday, January 27th:

East Haven Mayor Joseph Maturo:

For his poor timing "Taco Comment" he made to a WPIX reporter in an interview regarding the arrest of four East Haven Police Officers for the alleged racial profiling of the Latino community by the F.B.I.

Friday, January 6th:

Matt Scott:

Dated a woman for 2 and a half months, and never "went all the way", sending her into the arms of another man. They are now engaged. ( WAHH...MWAHHHH )

Friday, December 2nd:

AJ ( FROM CHAZ & AJ IN THE MORNING ) Two reasons...

1) For claiming that people that are already rich should not be allowed to play the lottery (as in the case of the Greenwich asset managers that claimed the Powerball Jackpot of 254.2 million dollars)

2) For getting nominated for "Loser of the Week" during "Be nice to AJ week"

Friday, November 18th:

Dave the Trash Guy (Refuse Hauler)- Dave spouted off about CT State workers doing nothing but sitting in their trucks instead of working during a rain storm this week, prompting state workers to nominate him in turn. Dave now says that he's 6'2", 245 lbs...and if any state worker wants to "bring it", it's on!

Friday, November 11th:

All those involved in the Penn State child molestation scandal- They kept things quiet for many years that Assistant coach Jerry Sandusky was allegedly having inappropriate contact with children in a program for youths.

Friday, November 4th:
Connecticut Light & Power Top Brass/Mitch Gross spokesperson- for slow progress in restoring power, mishandling the situation, not being prepared after the whole Irene debacle, and for making light on the TV and radio, and blaming meteorologists for their forcasts being misleading. When it really was CL&P's fault.
Friday, October 28th:
Bridgeport Looters- The dirtbags that looted the home that burned in Bridgeport, killing a 7 year old boy that was trapped in the home. Took family possessions while family was out grieving!

Chaz- for his comments about the Occupy Wall Street protestors
Friday, October 7th:
The Aunt of the little 20 month old girl that was killed by the Aunt's 3 pitbulls- She was more worried about how people talk about her dogs than her niece that was killed
