Beach Roses Walk in Madison

Beach Roses Walk in Madison

The Beach Roses Foundation invites the shoreline community and beyond to step forward on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Hammonasset Beach State Park for the first annual Beach Roses Walk — a family-friendly event rallying support for breast cancer research, prevention, and survivorship programs.

Founded by triple-negative breast cancer survivor and Madison, Connecticut, mom Paisley McCaffery Moore, the Beach Roses Foundation is committed to changing the trajectory of breast cancer by funding vital research and initiatives that help survivors not just live — but thrive. Inspired by the resilience of the beach roses that bloom along the Connecticut shoreline, the Foundation stands for strength, perseverance, and hope.

Breast cancer is personal for nearly all of us. Chances are, each of us has a family member,
friend, coworker, or neighbor who has been impacted:
● 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
● Rates are rising among women under 40, making early action more critical than ever

The Beach Roses Walk event will feature:
🌸 A 4K walk along the beach trails
🌸 A shorter 1K stroll option
🌸 A Kids’ Fun Run
🌸 A Welcome yoga class to kick off the morning
🌸 A Survivors’ Pavilion with resources, inspiration, and community connection
🌸 Food trucks, music from a live DJ, a silent auction, giveaways, and more!

Plus, Yale’s mobile mammography station will be on site.

100% of proceeds will benefit breast cancer research at Yale Cancer Center/Smilow CanceR
Hospital and support survivor programs like LIVESTRONG at the YMCA.

Whether you’re walking in honor of someone you love, celebrating survivorship, or stepping
forward for future generations, your participation makes a real difference. Join us and be
part of a movement fueled by hope, driven by community, and rooted in the belief that we
can defeat breast cancer — together.
