School is back in session and 99.1 PLR is giving you the only education you really need…a PhD in the best rock music of all time. Listen starting Thursday at 10am throughout Labor Day weekend as we play all the songs you need for a proper rock music education in alphabetical order. Forget about calculus and biology, it’s all about Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Green Day, and the all-time greats.
Rules of the 99.1 PLR Road Ready Used Cars Back to School A to Z:
- We’ll start with numerical song titles first, then go from A to Z.
- If we play an original song and its cover (or two songs with the same title) we’ll play them alphabetical by artist last name, regardless of which came out first. (i.e. Guns N’ Roses version of “Live and Let Die” will play before the original)
- If a song begins with a parenthetical, whatever the first word inside the parenthetical determines where it plays (so “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” will play in the “D” songs)
- For “double” songs, we’ll play whatever the first song’s title is (Van Halen’s “Intruder/(Oh) Pretty Woman” will play in the “I” songs)
- “The” gets ignored if it begins a song title (so Nirvana’s “The Man Who Sold The World” plays in the “M” songs)
