Great music and food, an artisan market, and yoga are just some of what you’ll find when you come out to Foote Memorial Park on Sunday, October 5 for Branford MicroFUNday. Organized by the Branford Microfund — a local nonprofit that provides interest-free loans to struggling residents — the event runs from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission to the park is free, and your purchases at MicroFUNday will support the Microfund’s mission of helping local residents cover the costs of emergency expenses.
Thanks to sponsors like CrossPoint Federal Credit Union, the Rotary Club of Branford, Stony Creek Capital, Sound Generational Wealth, and The Guilford House, this all-day event will include food trucks, games and prizes, a silent auction, and more for families young and old. Some of the highlights:
- Start the morning off right with a 9 a.m. yoga class at Foote Park taught by Sally Noel of Ravens Wing Yoga.
- Enjoy live music provided by Mindreader, covering songs from the 60s to today.
- Play outdoor games with a chance to win prizes.
- Have fun with craft activities like tie-dye, crocheting and more.
- Feast on food from vendors like Branford Beach Donuts (after yoga), and Haven Hot Chicken and Get Stuffed starting at 11 a.m. Plus, Cork & Craft will be serving beer and wine with 100% of the proceeds going to BMF.
- Explore the Artisan Market and this growing list of local vendors: Ari Mauree Creations, Assana. Skincare, Between the Chapters Co., Cakes by Kristina, Caleb and Layla Creations, Chuli Crafts, Creative Expressions, Flower Wonderland, Pure Rejuv Skincare and Massage, Rock Garden, and The Cookie Girl.
- Don’t miss the Silent Auction with a chance to bid on items from BACA, Ebb & Flow Yoga Studio, House of Today Stony Creek, Inspire Dance Academy, Legacy Theater, Nest, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, Pure Rejuv Skincare and Massage, and the Yale Repertory Theatre, just to name a few!
