McDonald’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

McDonald’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate the 50 years of McDonald’s in Wallingford on Tuesday, October 21st from 1 -3 pm at 608 North Colony Road in Wallingford.

Meet 99.1 PLR’s Jon Kamal! He’ll be hanging out at the 99.1 PLR Tent. There will be music, incredible giveaways, and McDonald’s swag, plus family-friendly fun like photos with Grimace, face painting, sparkling cider, and snacks for all to enjoy.

You’ll get a chance to see old photos of the restaurant from when it first opened in 1975. And here’s the big one — local owner/operator Ted Zafiris is donating $50,000 to a deserving local organization. Come down and see who it is.

McDonald’s also be honoring a very special team member who started working at the Wallingford McDonald’s on day one, 50 years ago. She still works with Ted today — and she’ll be recognized for her incredible service.

The anniversary fun doesn’t stop after the party. Starting October 21st and running all month long through November 21st, you can score 50-cent specials every day: *limited to two per order

o Mondays – McDouble

o Tuesdays – Hamburger or Cheeseburger

o Wednesdays & Fridays – Small Fry

o Thursdays – Any size Premium Coffee

o Saturdays – 4-piece Chicken McNuggets

o Every day – Soft-serve Cones

It’s all happening at the Wallingford McDonald’s. 50 years of serving our community, and we’re just getting started!
