The Tribe called in the words they have trouble pronouncing correctly, which included some car manufacturers, condiments, and most of the towns from a nearby state. (0:00)

Movie critic Joe Meyers was on to share his list of the best musicals, since “West Side Story” has been updated by Steven Spielberg. As it turns out, AJ has a LOT of knowledge and opinions on musicals. (20:04)

Channel 3’s Roger Susanin was on the phone with Chaz and AJ from Hamden High School, where metal detectors will be in place for students returning to class tomorrow. A rash of violence has a lot of parents of students feeling uncomfortable about their safety. (0:00)

While reading a news story about a man in Florida who attacked his neighbor with a flamethrower, Chaz and AJ made the mistake of asking Phil to look up the product online and everyone suddenly wanted to own one. (6:58)

John McCarthy from Rock House talks about the Toy Drive on Friday, but also had a very personal connection to the tragic fire in West Haven. (11:24)

While talking about holiday tipping, and who deserves them this time of year, Chaz and AJ took calls from the Tribe. Frank in Fairfield made a really good pitch for local contractors deserving some love this season. (23:21)

50 Years, 50 Albums 1985: Phil Collins ‘No Jacket Required’

No Jacket Required, the third studio album from Phil Collins, came in with the most votes this week; edging out Heart’s self-titled album and John Mellencamp’s Scarecrow, all MTV favorites. But the drummer from the legendary Prog Rock band Genesis showed us what a great front man he is, as well as songwriter and album producer. No Jacket Required came out in February of 1985 with “Sussudio” as the first single with three others to follow. The album featured Sting and Peter Gabriel on background vocals and won three Grammy Awards including Album of the Year in 1986, selling over 25 million copies worldwide making it one of the best-selling albums of all time.
