Multiple fires broke out across the state over the weekend, with one of the largest in Southbury. Chaz and AJ had Southbury Fire Captain Richard Volpe on the phone to talk about the insane effort to contain the flames, and how fires like this are started despite all of the melting snow. (0:00)
Gianni Russo was on to talk about the fettucine cook-off he had, that completely ruined a celebrity’s dining room after a food fight. (11:54)
New Britain mayor Erin Stewart will not be running for Governor. Chaz and AJ had her on to explain why. (22:23)
Dumb Ass News – A woman on TikTok wanted to surprise her husband, so she put on some lingerie. Too bad he was not the first person to walk through the door. (36:55)

99.1 PLR celebrates 50 years! This week we are celebrating another great year in our history: 2007!
That year 99.1 PLR welcomed The Police “Reunion Tour” to Rentschler Field’s outdoor stadium in East Hartford. The Police hit the road in 2007 for their big worldwide reunion tour to mark the 30th anniversary of the band. Unfortunately the reunion didn’t last long as the band broke up (again) the following year and, sadly, still remain apart.
A sellout crowed over 32,000 saw The Police along with special guest Fiction Plane. This would be the final time we’d see The Police perform live in Connecticut.
Today we revisit The Police at “The Rent”…

Chaz talks with Megan Doll, who was on the air for over 20 years with 99.1 PLR. She started out doing traffic for Smith & Barber and Mike Lapitino before becoming a full part of the morning show. She left in 2013 after being a cherished member of Chaz & AJ in the Morning.
Kent Pierce from News 8 was on to share some horrifying information about your coffee machine. Chaz and AJ had him to let the Tribe know how often they should be cleaning those machines, and Ashley realized that she has never cleaned her coffee maker in over five years. (0:00)
John Schneider from The Dukes of Hazzard was on to talk about the injuries he his co-star Tom Wopat endured while getting into the General. Plus, everything he’s been working on recently and where you can catch the debut of his latest project, “One Month Out.” (8:09)
Boss Keith’s Top 5 was about the things he learned in the two weeks since he last saw Chaz and AJ, since they were out on vacation. Turns out, skiing is not his thing, and he really needs help around the house. (20:11)

99.1 PLR celebrates 50 years! This week we are celebrating another great year in our history: 1991!
That year PLR welcomed Queensrÿche at Hartford’s XL Center (then called Hartford Civic Center). Queensrÿche hit the road for its “Building Empires” Tour and brought special guest Suicidal Tendencies with them. Queensrÿche was supporting its fourth full-length studio album, “Empire,” which featured a bunch of hits including Empire, Silent Lucidity, Jet City Woman, Another Rainy Night (Without You), Anybody Listening? and Best I Can.
The tour’s setlist consisted of the band performing the album “Operation: Mindcrime” in full. Their show at the XL Center was the final stop on the first leg of the North American Tour and their last show before the big “Monsters of Rock” tour across Europe.
Today we revisit Queensrÿche’s 1991 concert in Hartford…

The second album from the Seattle based grunge band that changed the face of music as we know it. Taking a cue from the Pixies while also combining the punk sounds of Black Flag with the pop hooks of the Beatles, Nirvana created an album that famously knocked Michael Jackson out of the number 1 spot on the charts. The album that killed “hair metal” and eventually went on to sell over 10 million copies in the U.S. Featuring the biggest alternative rock song of all time “Smells Like Teen Spirit” plus other 90s mainstays like “Lithium,” “In Bloom” and “Come As You Are”.
How much are you going to get in the next stimulus check? Math is not a strong suit for the show, but spending that money was a much easier answer. Plus, the CT National Guard is sending almost 600 troops to Africa. (0:00)
If there was no pandemic, how else could the country spend $1.9 TRILLION? Kyle the math teacher was on to break down some interesting scenarios. (12:35)
Dumb Ass News – A mother in New Mexico was accidentally run over by her teenage son, after trying to teach him how to drive. (25:18)
Johnny Damon was arrested for drinking and driving recently, and the police have released body cam footage. Chaz and AJ went through the two minute clip. (33:57)
