Jimmy Koplik has spoken with Governor Ned Lamont’s office a number of times about concerts for this year, and he was on this morning to share the latest on the fate of the 2021 concert season. (29:40)

Gadget Guy Steve Greenberg was on to explain the iPhone security update, the stock market hysteria, and debuted his own theme song. (35:25)

Dumb Ass News – A woman didn’t want to leave her plane seat, so she started screaming. AJ recognized the scream, as something he was once did in his own life after buying a new pair of pants. (49:08)

99.1 PLR celebrates 50 years! This week we are celebrating another historic year in our history: 1994!

WPLR’s studio at the time was on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden, which was a short drive to New Haven Coliseum. WPLR and The Coliseum had a long history of welcoming some of the biggest rock acts to New Haven. In the summer of 1994 “99 Rock” WPLR welcomed Stone Temple Pilots as they brought their “Purple Tour” to The Coliseum.

Vaccine scheduling has become a major point of contention between teachers and the Board of Ed in the Pomperaug school district, because the organizers got themselves the vaccine ahead of many others. Then, Scot Haney from Channel 3 was on to talk about the snow coming this afternoon and evening. (0:00)

Speech pathologist Rachel was on to evaluate AJ’s flubbles, and offer a basic diagnosis for the cause. (13:01)

Sean Hennessey was in prison at age 16, and learned a lot about “the rules of survival.” Chaz and AJ wanted to know who on the show would have the roughest time inside, and which TV show or movie had the most ridiculous portrayal of what life is like locked up. (15:49)

Dumb Ass News – Chaz and AJ had some (brief) audio of a Sheriff’s Deputy having sex at Universal Studios, over a live mic. Then, a viral review for an intimate product turned into a brainstorming session to re-name it. (37:20)
