Melissa was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about her brother, Dan. Dan was 30 years old, tremendously healthy with no underlying conditions, a gym owner and trainer in Norwalk, and died of COVID-19. Melissa told us how quickly the virus affected him, what the doctors told them about why a healthy person like Dan would be so affected, and how difficult it was to say goodbye.
Some great bands emerged from Seattle’s grunge scene in the early to mid 1990s. Among those bands was Candlebox, who found immediate success with their self-titled debut album in 1993. Today we look back at an intimate show they did in Hartford in 2012.

About The Tour: Candlebox hit the road in 2012 in support of its fifth studio album, Love Stories & Other Musings. The first leg of the 29-city tour started in Shreveport, LA in early April and played in mostly clubs along the east coast. The new album was released just a month before the Webster Theater show. Love Stories & Other Musings featured nine new tracks (five of which were played at the Webster Theater show) and five bonus tracks – including re-records of past hits “Far Behind,” “Cover Me,” and “Simple Lessons.”

Tribe member Hungry Man called in this morning, after 10 days on a ventilator battling COVID-19. He talked about the doctors and nurses that helped him, and how his wife is still working to get off her ventilator. (0:00)

People! If there’s one rock band that enjoys coming to Connecticut, it’s KISS. Since the mid-1970’s KISS has played just about everywhere from The Palace Theater in Waterbury to the old New Haven Coliseum. Now as they say farewell on their “End of the Road” World Tour, which is on hiatus due to the Coronavirus, we look back at one of their many shows here in Connecticut.

About The Tour: After a massive 40th Anniversary World Tour in 2014-15, KISS announced its next tour called “Freedom To Rock” in 2016. The tour kicked off on July 4, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona and would visit over 30 North American cities, including Bridgeport and Uncasville. KISS visited mostly secondary markets and smaller cities it hadn’t be to in over a decade, some never before. Bridgeport, for example, last had KISS in town in 2003. The “Freedom To Rock” Tour was dedicated to veterans with a focus to help Hiring Our Heroes and the Veteran Tickets Foundation.
