Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of local Account Managers to achieve and exceed sales goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local advertisers, community leaders, and business owners
- Create and implement sales strategies that highlight the unique strengths of our local stations and digital platforms in conjunction with the goals of the advertiser
- Partner with programming, marketing, and digital teams to design integrated campaigns for Long Island businesses
- Provide regular training, mentorship, and skill development for the sales team to ensure continued growth and success
Job Requirements:
- Experience in broadcast media sales, with a proven track record of local market success
- Interest and/or background in training, mentoring, and developing sales teams
- Ability to create custom programs for local clients that deliver measurable ROI
- Knowledge of and passion for the Long Island business community is helpful
- Willingness to live on or relocate to Long Island

Part Time Promotions Staff / Customer Service – Milford, CT
Job Description:
Connoisseur Media—owner of 6 radio stations located in Milford, CT is adding to their promotions staff. This position is perfect for someone looking for part-time work and someone who just loves interacting with people. Most important, you will be the person who meets everyone at station appearances such as events, concerts, walks, runs etc. Connoisseur Media is looking for awesome, interesting, personable and tech savvy folks to join our promotions team. Positive attitude a must! The ideal candidate is someone who loves interacting with people, a person who isn’t afraid to talk to new people.
- Must be a social, outgoing, high-energy individual who is enthusiastic about promotions, marketing, and our radio stations
- Must have a flexible schedule and is able to work days, nights and weekends. Radio is a 24-hour operation!
- Must be a great communicator and able to demonstrate/educate individuals with our brands, apps, or any promotions that we might have gone on at the time
- Setting up sound systems and other promotional equipment.
- Someone who is a self-motivator and is willing to approach clients, listeners, etc. and feels comfortable interacting with them is a must
The position is part-time; hours vary; Monday-Sunday, hours are flexible up to 30 hours a week.
Required Skills:
- Prior experience in customer service is preferable but not necessary

PLR is looking for Interns in multiple departments – Milford, CT
Promotions
Interns get hands on experience with marketing and promotions, both in the office and out in the field. Interns are trained and supervised by the department manager and promotions coordinator. Interns must be resourceful and willing to initiate projects. Good communications skills and attention to detail are important.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Contacting contest winners and interacting with listeners
- Assist with social media projects designed to drive listener engagement
- Support other marketing personnel to ensure brand continuity
- Assist with event marketing

Chaz and AJ
Interns get hands on experience with industry standard audio and video editing equipment, learn multiple different tasks that help create a radio program, and have a chance to be on the air!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting guests of the show
- Researching show discussion topics
- Interviewing Chaz and AJ listeners
- Assisting in the creation of promotional material
- Creating potential on-air content
- Cataloging past show segments
- Assisting show hosts and production team when necessary
Sales
Interns in the sales department will get a real look at what makes the engine of the radio station run. Work with the account executives and clients to help make brands bigger, develop campaigns and build relationships.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Writing commercial copy
- Researching potential client leads
- Creating interesting campaigns
- Assisting on sales calls
- Putting together power point and other sales presentations
- Working hand in hand with account executives
Many past former 99.1 PLR interns have furthered their careers as full-time broadcasters, including positions in both radio and television.
