99.1 PLR celebrates 50 years! This week we are celebrating our first year on the air: 1971!
That year PLR welcomed progressive rockers YES to the Palace Theater in Waterbury. YES hit the road in 1971 to support their fourth studio album “Fragile,” which features the hit songs Roundabout and Long Distance Runaround. Joining YES at the Palace were The J. Geils Band.
