The finale and conclusion to AJ in a Box 2023. After 23 hours in the box, listening to “It’s A Small World” on repeat, Chaz and AJ were getting ready to put a bow on the event and wrap it up. That included appearances by nearly 30 Corvettes, big donations from the Tribe and some clients, New Haven’s mayor calling in, and Drew’s tally to over $35,000. Plus, a mysterious scent resembling cabbage near the box, according to Chaz’s wife, Jennifer.

AJ leaves the studio to head to McDermott Chevrolet and Lexus of New Haven. He told everyone he was ready to go, but it still took him about 5 minutes of goodbyes before he was walking down the hall. (17:07)

With Fox 61’s Jimmy Altman live on site, AJ prepared to enter the box for the very first time. The unveiling of Gunner Roofing’s construction wowed the crowd, while those on site at McDermott Chevrolet and Lexus of New Haven got to see AJ not wearing any pants. (19:56)

Andre in Derby took over Top 10 duties this morning, and caught a little heat for ranking soup his number one “comfort food.” Chaz and AJ were discussing the ranking, when it was revealed that AJ has actually made a song about soup in the past. (0:00)

Dumb Ass News – Losing a fistfight to a tuba player, while he’s holding the tuba and playing, is a tough look. (11:07)

So, is AJ OK to go in the box? After a visit with his doctor yesterday, AJ revealed whether or not he’s been medically cleared for the event, while a nervous Scot Haney waited to hear on the phone. (16:32)

East Haven’s Mayor Joe Carfora was on to talk about the election and then the Tribe called in a story about getting stuck on the Small World ride at Disney, and how the song was easily the worst part of the inconvenience. (21:21)

In Derby, mayor Zeke was not re-elected, but called in to talk to Chaz and AJ about the new mayor-elect. (35:21)
